No resto do mundo e como consequ\u00eancia das mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas, os diferentes ambientes tendem a se tornar homog\u00eaneos&#8221;, disse C\u00e1rdenas, geneticista do Centro. de Pesquisa Din\u00e2mica de Ecossistemas Marinhos de Alta Latitude (IDEAL) da Universidade Austral do Chile.<\/p>\n<p>Para o pesquisador chileno, isso acontecer no ponto mais ao sul do planeta significa &#8220;uma tremenda perda de diversidade \u00fanica que levou milh\u00f5es de anos para se tornar o que \u00e9&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;N\u00f3s perturbamos o meio ambiente a um n\u00edvel tal que poder\u00edamos acabar sem lugar (no mundo) sem evid\u00eancias do impacto do homem. E estamos testemunhando que, a curto prazo, pode ser assim&#8221;, alertou o m\u00e9dico, cujo estudo foi realizado. publicado na revista Scientific Reports.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #008000;\">O MEXILH\u00c3O, ESP\u00c9CIES INVASIVAS GLOBAIS<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Um grupo internacional de especialistas publicou em fevereiro uma an\u00e1lise das 13 esp\u00e9cies com maior probabilidade de invadir ecossistemas na Pen\u00ednsula Ant\u00e1rtica.<\/p>\n<p>O &#8216;chorito&#8217; chileno estava entre os mais &#8220;problem\u00e1ticos&#8221; junto com o mexilh\u00e3o mediterr\u00e2neo, as algas comest\u00edveis conhecidas como &#8220;wakame&#8221;, alguns caranguejos, \u00e1caros e outros insetos.<\/p>\n<p>Os esp\u00e9cimes de mexilh\u00e3o descobertos por C\u00e1rdenas e sua equipe de especialistas norte-americanos correspondem ao mesmo grupo gen\u00e9tico que habita a Patag\u00f4nia e as Ilhas Kerguelen, localizadas no Oceano \u00cdndico.<\/p>\n<p>De fato, uma esp\u00e9cie pr\u00f3xima disso j\u00e1 demonstrou seu &#8220;alto potencial invasivo&#8221;, estabelecendo e desenvolvendo popula\u00e7\u00f5es est\u00e1veis no \u00c1rtico &#8211; em um ambiente semelhante ao do continente ant\u00e1rtico &#8211; devido ao derretimento do gelo associado ao aquecimento global.<\/p>\n<p>Se isso ocorrer no p\u00f3lo sul da Terra, as algas e outros organismos que vivem no substrato ant\u00e1rtico ser\u00e3o fortemente afetados.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;O mais preocupante \u00e9 que as tarambolas n\u00e3o teriam controle biol\u00f3gico (na Ant\u00e1rtica), j\u00e1 que n\u00e3o existem organismos esmagadores, como os caranguejos&#8221;, disse Miguel Pardo, ecologista do Centro IDEAL.<\/p>\n<p>Depois de desembarcarem no continente branco, qual a probabilidade de os mexilh\u00f5es o invadirem?<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A probabilidade \u00e9 alta, principalmente devido \u00e0s suas caracter\u00edsticas de vida: alta fertilidade, crescimento r\u00e1pido e toler\u00e2ncia a baixas temperaturas, al\u00e9m de serem invasivas em outras latitudes, o que \u00e9 um excelente preditor de invas\u00e3o&#8221;, disse Pardo, co-autor do estudo. .<\/p>\n<h2>UMA INVESTIGA\u00c7\u00c3O QUE MARCA UM PONTO DE INFLAMA\u00c7\u00c3O<\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;Os choritos que chegaram \u00e0 Ant\u00e1rtica precisam de intera\u00e7\u00e3o com o meio ambiente e a prote\u00e7\u00e3o do substrato marinho.
